The safety of electrical systems and equipment is very important for every training occupation in electrical engineering, i.e. for all electronics technician occupations, but also for the electrician for specified tasks, the mechatronics technician, the automotive mechatronics technician in relation to high-voltage technology in electric or hybrid vehicles. In addition, the curricula of some metalworking professions include knowledge of protection technology and the relationship between current and voltage.
Getting to know different grid systems and their protective elements is important for starting a career: The second stage is realized with the laboratory system in accordance with the VDE0100 standard. Here, the participant uses a VDE 0100 installation tester to check the initial commissioning of an electrical system. The third stage in learning about the VDE100 protective measures is the real-life BST®VDE0100 - Building Systems Trainer from ETS DIDACTIC. This rounds off the previously varied learning situations with a comprehensive practical situation.
