Kölner Arbeitskreis LRS & Dyskalkulie e.

The ´Kölner Arbeitskreis LRS & Dyskalkulie e. V´ was founded in 2015, and has since been providing both, support and advice for individuals of all age groups ranging from pre-school to adult age within the North Rhine Westphalia area.

The ultimate goal is to ensure equal opportunities for those affected by learning disorders such as reading, spelling and/or arithmetics. The main focus is placed on optimizing their academic achievement within the public school system.

Our members are young people who are affected, but also parents, professionals and therapists.
The ´Kölner Arbeitskreis LRS & Dyskalkulie e. V´ was founded because numerous individuals and families were looking for information, support and advice regarding all aspects related to dyslexia and dyscalculia. In addition to the affected families, teachers, therapists and local authorities (e.g. Youth Welfare Office) are constantly seeking advice on how to deal with the learning disorders mentioned above.

Bringing people together from all professional fields related to learning disorders has effectively helped to reduce prejudices and misinformation.

The Associations commitment has led to several awards donated by various local and regional institutions.

The ´Kölner Arbeitskreis LRS & Dyskalkulie e. V´, whose active members are working on a voluntary basis, is a non-profit organization located in Cologne / Germany. Its operational activities are funded by membership fees and donations. Besides the executive board ( Mr Dieter Budke, Mrs Alexander Castoldi and Mrs Ursula Hissel), a team of volunteers stand up for the concerns of the ones affected.
