IDA e. V.

The Informations- und Dokumentationszentrum für Antirassismusarbeit e. V. (IDA) was established in 1990 at the initiative of democratic youth associations in the Federal Republic of Germany to take a stand against racism. Currently, 32 associations are members of IDA, including member organizations of the Deutscher Bundesjugendring, Ring politischer Jugend, Deutsche Sportjugend and the association Mach' meinen Kumpel nicht an! e. V.

IDA is a non-profit association and its board is composed of representatives from the member associations. Since 1994, IDA has been affiliated with the state project IDA-NRW (Informations- und Dokumentationszentrum für Antirassismusarbeit in North Rhine-Westphalia), which views itself as a catalyst and supporter of youth associations and multipliers of youth work in North Rhine-Westphalia.

IDA serves as a service center offering  information, documentation, advice and qualifications in the areas of racism (criticism), right-wing extremism, anti-Semitism, racism-critical or intercultural openness, diversity, criticism of discrimination and migration society. IDA is funded by the Federal Ministry for Family, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth (BMFSFJ) and can be receive support through supporting memberships or donations.
