With its "Advice Centre on Radicalisation" as a centre of excellence in the field of "Islamist (de)radicalisation", the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees is one of the key players in the German deradicalisation landscape.

The aim is to rebuild and strengthen the relationship between relatives or the social environment and radicalised individuals in order to initiate a deradicalisation process.

A variety of measures are available for this purpose: among other things, the BAMF operates the nationwide first point of contact for those seeking advice, offers counselling by experienced and specially trained staff and refers them to local counselling centres.
