20 minutes of reading time in the classroom, including Easter-related topics - an easy way to motivate children to read. Fun, short stories in large print will have the children cheering along with the Easter bunny, learning about painting Easter eggs or smiling about the magic clover. Specially developed for reading aloud methods such as tandem reading or choral reading, the stories, poems and factual texts are between 100 and 300 words long. They deal with the customs and background to Easter and typical spring themes such as hens and chicks, hares and rabbits, lambs and dandelions.
The materials can be used in grades 2 to 4 and promote reading comprehension and reading fluency as well as the ability to decode texts. Differentiation is possible due to the different text lengths.
The booklet contains a brief explanation of the phonics reading methods and a reading packet as a reading aid.
In tandem reading, the children read in teams of one stronger and one weaker reader. This not only promotes individual reading skills, but also strengthens social skills in the long term.
Also suitable for free work, working with the weekly plan and as a partner exercise.
